The Charleton Fencing story so far…
Charleton Fencing based just outside of Chester le Street, has been established over 45 years. Jimmy Charleton started off the business at the age of only 16 with £20 and he has now grown the company to the million pound turnover company it is today. Charleton Fencing now has a team of 14 staff erecting fences and 3 office staff at their premises near Chester le Street.
Jimmy aimed to get a couple of contracts to start him off and he just grew the business from there to the size it is today. Jimmy still even after 45 years has hands on approach with the business, going out erecting fences and pricing up work up.
Reputation is everything…
Charleton fencing is well known not just in Chester Le Street but also across the region. Each job we do has a badge put on with our name on. This is to show it is a Charleton fencing job, we put our name on the fencing because every job we do is to perfection and we are proud to show them off. The company is local authority approved and all their work is done to BSI722 standards.
Our current trade is a mixture of private jobs and contract work. Some of the contract work can range from £400 to £250,000 that is the scale of the different work we do. With private work it can range from as little as £25 up to £6,000. Whatever the job we always aim to give the best possible service.

At Charleton Fencing you have two choices when it comes to your fencing requirements. You can either call us up or give us your measurements. We will be happy to give you a quote over the phone and deliver the materials to your home. Or we can come out to you, give you a quote and our experienced team will do the fitting for you. We have a joiners shop at our premises just outside of Chester le Street that can manufacture gates and fencing all to your own measurements. We also deliver to your door just ask for details.
